OPENING A NEW PARADIGM
The Horizons Architecture framework originated from research conducted at the Laboratory for Entrepreneurship and Transformation (LET) of the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where it has been developed since 2016. It draws on complex adaptive systems, transdisciplinary approaches, and computational methods.
Horizons Architecture Systems was incorporated in 2023 and has operated commercially since May 2024, working with institutional clients across government, higher education, and international organizations.

MEET THE TEAM
Edgar Barroso holds a PhD from Harvard and is a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he created the Horizons Architecture framework through research at the Laboratory for Entrepreneurship and Transformation (LET). With over 22 years of professional experience at the intersection of complex adaptive systems, compositional theory, and applied computational methods, he founded Horizons Architecture in 2023 to bring this body of work into institutional practice. Edgar has also established ventures such as Antena Labs and Casa Antena, focused on emerging technologies and digital inclusion in Mexico. He is a recipient of the Premio Rómulo Garza and currently resides in Switzerland. More at edgarbarroso.info.
Oscar Díaz leads the technical architecture of HA's AI and data systems, including platforms such as Collective Intelligence Systems, AURA, and MARA. With over 11 years of experience, his work centers on designing coherent, scalable, and governable AI systems for complex organizational environments.
Oscar collaborates with institutions and multidisciplinary teams to translate strategic intent into production-ready AI architectures. He also serves as HA's legal representative (apoderado legal) for corporate matters.
Sarahí Orduño oversees HA's operations, client relationships, and project delivery. With 16 years of experience across government, higher education, and social innovation, she has led engagement processes for institutional clients and managed multidisciplinary teams in complex program environments. Sarahí's work ensures that HA's methodology translates into structured, well-coordinated project execution.
Javier Ocampo manages HA's finances, institutional processes, and brand operations. With 21 years of experience spanning technology, communications, and strategy, he coordinates the company's editorial and operational standards. Javier holds a background in computer science and an MBA with a focus on strategy.
