Horizons Architecture (HA) originated in the Laboratory for Entrepreneurship and Transformation of the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Its foundation is based on research on complex adaptive systems, transdisciplinary approaches, and computational methods.

MEET THE TEAM
Edgar Barroso, PhD from Harvard and professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, founded Horizons Architecture in 2023 as a spinout. His work integrates applied research with entrepreneurship. He specializes in the intersection of music theory, complex adaptive systems, and applied computational methods, focusing on fostering human-machine cooperation to transform complex efforts. In addition to his academic activities, Edgar has established startups such as Antena Labs and Casa Antena to advance emerging technologies and promote digital inclusion in Mexico. Oscar Díaz is an AI & Systems Architect focused on designing coherent, scalable, and governable artificial intelligence systems for complex organizational environments.
His work goes beyond models and tools, centering on systems thinking, architectural clarity, and long-term viability. Oscar collaborates with institutions, multidisciplinary teams, and leadership stakeholders to translate strategic intent into implementable, production-ready AI architectures.
He believes that intelligence—human or artificial—only creates impact when it is structured, contextualized, and responsibly governed.
Sarahí Orduño has transformed collective efforts through entrepreneurship and innovation programs. Her ability to establish connections has enabled her to develop high-performance teams and manage projects across various industries and governments. Sarahí believes in the richness of diversity, respect, and the power of collaboration to design new possibilities.
Javier Ocampo specializes in integrating aesthetics and functionality. His skills encompass designing multisensory experiences and applying storytelling in his projects. In addition to his work in design, Javier has competencies in communication and marketing, a background in computer science, and an MBA with a focus on strategy.
